Le Duc started out as a producer of onion rings almost 25 years ago. Founder Dick den Hertog brought the onion ring to Europe from America in 1998. Since then, we have expanded our range of meatless snacks considerably. We would like to tell you more about one of Le Duc's promises: 100% vegetarian appetizers. We also share serving tips with our veggie snacks on this page, so that you can surprise your guests with delicious dishes! 

A golden combination 
Vegetarian snacks are the perfect response to the growing demand for vegetarian food. They let you cater not only for vegetarians, but also for flexitarians and meat lovers. Eating meat with every meal is no longer necessary and people are increasingly open to trying out new things. Famke Borgstijn, head of R&D at Le Duc, notices these new developments and responds to them with the Le Duc assortment. "Many of our snacks are filled with cheese, making them popular with a broad audience. We adapt the type of cheese we use to every snack, from Gouda to Emmental and from camembert to mozzarella.” Whichever cheese we use, one condition is that the cheese must be made with vegetarian rennet. The combination of vegetables and cheese is the perfect base for veggie products and lends them high snackability. What's more, the high vegetable content means that your guests can easily achieve their recommended daily intake of vegetables. All while snacking!!

'Kapsalon' is a perfect option for a take-away dish. These Loaded Chili Cheese Nuggets make for a surprising vegetarian variation on this dish. Garnish with grated cheese, cilantro and sweetcorn. Sriracha mayonnaise, lime and jalapeño add spice to this dish.
